Da Vinci Surgery

Robotic Surgery

Dr. McAdams works diligently to remain current with the latest advances in gynecologic surgery. We have long offered minimally invasive surgery by means of laparoscopy, which provides less postoperative pain, a shorter hospital stay and a quicker recovery and return to normal activities. Our practice is also proud to have been one of the first in Oklahoma City utilizing the da Vinci surgical system, which now allows the extension of those benefits of minimally invasive surgery to more patients who previously were not candidates.

The da Vinci uses the latest in surgical and robotic technologies and is beneficial in performing complex surgery. With da Vinci, surgeons make just a few small incisions. The robotic system also features a magnified 3D high definition vision system and special wristed instruments that bend and rotate greater than the human wrist. As a result, this system enables Dr. McAdams to operate with enhanced vision, precision, dexterity, and control.
